Forgiveness for PPP Borrowers
The SBA has streamlined the forgiveness process for PPP Borrowers. Eligible small business owners who are ready for Direct Forgiveness should apply through the SBA PPP Direct Forgiveness Portal, and follow these steps:
- Eligible Borrowers register on the SBA Direct PPP Portal and verify their information. Great news: Borrowers may not be required to support forgiveness requests with documentation at this time, depending on their COVID Revenue Reduction Score and/or the characteristics of the request.
- PPP Lenders (like us) review borrower’s information and will inform the borrower when an initial determination is made.
- The SBA then reviews the borrower’s information and determines full or partial loan forgiveness.
If both entities approve, the SBA will forgive the PPP loan in full or part pursuant to SBA requirements.
